Festival at Sandpoint Seeking Summer Interns, Volunteers, Production Crew for 2024 Summer Series

The Festival at Sandpoint is seeking summer interns, volunteers, and production crew for its 2024 Summer Series.

The Festival offers seasonal, paid internships offering hands-on experience in the music industry, a behind-the-scenes look at music festival operations, and resume-building professional skills.

The Festival’s internship program is a great fit for anyone looking to learn and experience day-to-day office operations, event operations, customer service, and box office management.

“Our internship program stands as a gateway for aspiring individuals to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of event management and the music industry,” Education Manager Paul Gunter said. “Through hands-on experiences, mentorship, and tailored roles aligned with interns' passions, we cultivate a rewarding environment that not only fosters professional growth but also contributes to the vibrant energy of our Festival community."

Interns may also be assigned an area of focus based on skills and interests, including but not limited to marketing, sales and merchandising, volunteer management, or hospitality.

This paid summer internship will run from June 12 through August 9, 2024. Applications are due April 15, but interviews will begin the first week of February.

The Festival at Sandpoint is also seeking volunteers from July 19 through August 7 for the 2024 Summer Performance Series.

“We are incredibly grateful to have such a supportive community that volunteers their time and effort year after year,” Executive Director Allison Baranski said. “An annual event as large as the Festival at Sandpoint Summer Series would not be possible without the outstanding team of over 600 volunteers who donate more than 10,000 hours each year.”

Volunteer departments include admissions, box office, green team, merchandise, production, and more. Becoming a volunteer is a great way to be part of the excitement of the Festival while also giving back to a nonprofit and the community.

If you are looking for the skill-building of an internship with a shorter commitment, join the Festival at Sandpoint's paid production crew from July 19 to August 7.

Production crew members assist in the physical setup of the venue, operating the venue for the duration of the series, and restoring War Memorial Field upon completion of the event.
