We are incredibly grateful to have such a supportive community that volunteers their time and effort year after year. This historic eight-day event would not be possible without our outstanding team of over 600 volunteers who donate over 10,000 hours each year.

Volunteer Departments

  • Admissions is the first part of the Festival experience, and we want to make it a great one! For this department, we are looking for an extrovert with a positive attitude who is dedicated to making our guests’ days.

    • Greet and scan ticket holders for concert access

    • Help manage crowds and lines.

    • Volunteers must be able to stand or walk without assistance for an extended period (i.e., up to 5 hours) of time.

  • Production and Operations include everything that keep the Festival running smoothly behind-the-scenes. This department is perfect for someone who likes to work with their hands and be active.

    • Act as an assistant for the venue manager

    • Manage lines

    • Check wristbands

    • May include shifts for venue set-up and tear-down

    • Volunteers must be able to stand or walk without assistance for an extended period (i.e. up to 5 hours) of time.

    • Venue assistant positions may require the ability to lift 25-30 pounds.

  • Are you interested in a fast-paced retail volunteer opportunity that helps make guest experiences great? Then, this department is for you. As a merchandise volunteer, you will assist with inventory, customer service, set up, sales, and tear down.

    • Volunteers must be able to stand or walk without assistance for an extended period (i.e., up to 5 hours) and be able to lift 25 – 50 pounds.

    • Age Requirement: 16 years or older

  • Help us keep Sandpoint green! The Green Team is reponsible for managing all trash, recycling, and compost throughout the venue. If you are looking for a hands-on, active volunteer opportunity that also helps the planet, this department is for you!

    • Help manage trash, recycling, and composting.

    • Volunteers must be able to stand or walk without assistance for an extended period (i.e., up to 5 hours) and be able to lift 25 – 50 pounds.

    • Age Requirement: 13 years or older

  • The Box Office is the information and sales hub of the Festival, where customers go to purchase tickets and ask questions. For this department, we are looking for someone with a positive attitude that is passionate about helping people.

    • Sell tickets to customers

    • Answer guest questions

    • Volunteers must be able to stand or sit without assistance for an extended period (i.e. up to 5 hours) of time.

    • Age Requirement: 13 years or older
