Pre-K Outreach

The Festival at Sandpoint is excited to offer free in-class music education lessons to local pre-schools throughout the community. Presently, we are operating our outreach program in Huckleberry Montessori, Kaniksu Community Health Kids Club, Selkirk School, and Sandpoint Play & Learn.

Each program is tailored each year to work with existing music curricula in the local schools and introduce students to help students establish strong foundations at a pivotal age of 3-6 years, which is one of the largest gaps in music education nationwide.

LPOSD SUPPORT

In conjunction with our instrument library program and ongoing masterclasses, the Festival at Sandpoint is partnering with Lake Pend Oreille School District to provide 14 new trombones for the 6th Grade Band Program for students to use during the school year at no cost.

Now, over 300 students throughout LPOSD will have access to low brass instruments as part of the 6th Grade Band Program each year.

summer internships

Each summer, the Festival offers a seasonal, paid internship program that allows interns to gain hands-on experience in the music industry and event operations and get a behind-the-scenes look into the making of a music festival.

Our immersive program includes thoughtfully mentoring and creating roles based on interns’ strengths and interests in departments such as marketing, merchandise, box office management, hospitality, event production, facility operations, and volunteer coordination.

Applications for the 2026 Summer Series are closed.
