BARB LEEDLE

Barb, her husband Brent, and son Jason moved to Sandpoint in 2009 after Brent served 16 years in the U. S. Air Force. Throughout Brent’s career in the military, they lived in Maryland, California, Montana, Texas, Florida, and Alaska, but finally found their forever home in Sandpoint. Barb grew up in the Seattle area and earned her BA in Communications from the University of Puget Sound and her MA in Teaching from Seattle Pacific University. She loved teaching high school English all over the country for 30 years, retiring from Sandpoint High School in 2023.

Since experiencing her first concert, the Rolling Stones at the Kingdome, Barb became a huge fan of live music and attends many shows each year, including the Festival at Sandpoint every summer. She is honored to be a board member and excited to devote her energy to the evolving music festival and all the educational opportunities it provides for our wonderful community.

When not enjoying live music, Barb spends her time volunteering at Better Together Animal Alliance, being a Friend of the Library, hiking and skiing in the mountains, playing on the lake, and traveling to bucket-list destinations.
